Launch of Bio-protection Research Centre Drupalsite
Egressive is pleased to have played a substantial role in launching the Bio-protection Research Centre's new website on 14 August. We had the chance to work with Caroline Lucas, the web site coordinator at the Centre to adopt the site, initiated by another independent Drupal developer, and complete development of the highly functional site to meet the original specifications (with some additional enhancements), as well as taking on hosting of the site.
The site showcases a range of web innovations, some subtle (the mechanisms for listing all manner of staff, students, researchers, board members, etc.) and others less so (the "lightbox" image display for incidental graphics and the site's image gallery). Centre staff tasked with maintaining the site and adding new content have the benefit of a content management environment. The various users of the site all have their own logins, and can keep their details, bios, lists of publications, and other content up to date.
The site is built on the Drupal framework in which we specialise, and is hosted on Egressive's Christchurch-based hosting infrastructure.
