Drupal Sites
We work extensively with Drupal, an amazingly versatile open source web application framework. We
- implement customised Drupal web applications,
- "adopt" Drupal sites which have been built by others but require improvements and ongoing support, and
- provide hosted Drupal systems for resellers and assist them with development as required.
Here is a portfolio of some of our sites, implemented and hosted by Egressive unless otherwise noted:
CommunityCentral - a Digital Strategy funded project led by a consortium of 5 voluntary welfare organisations
- ANGOA (Association of Non-Governmental Organisations of Aotearoa)
- NZ Council of Social Services (NZCOSS)
- NZ Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations (NZFVWO)
- SHORE (Centre for Social and Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation)
- Volunteering NZ.
Cycling Advocates' Network (CAN) - a nation-wide organisation supporting cycling advocacy groups at the local and national levels. This site offers members of the NZ cycling community vast resources for online collaboration, communication with members, event coordination, policy development, and submissions to government. It features online donations and commerce capabilities and not only the national organisation, but provides configurable spaces which regional advocacy groups can use to communicate with their own members on local issues. This site was built with the aid of a Digital Strategy grant from the government, and was a finalist in the 2008 NZ Open Source Awards in the category of "Best use of Open Source Software in the Community".
Bio-Protection Research Centre - the multi-disciplinary team of bio-protection experts, based at Lincoln University, champion novel bioprotection technologies for New Zealand's plant-based primary industries through world-class research and development, leading to enhanced national biosecurity, sustainable production systems, wealth-creating technology, protection of our unique, natural ecosystems. We adopted this site from the original developer who had achieved part of the required functionality, and assumed hosting responsibilities and completed the development. We are now providing ongoing maintenance and support.
NZSkier TV - online companion to NZSkier Magazine, featuring more photos, skier profiles, online magazine purchasing, skier gear guide, and a whole lot of great video, including trick tips from Hamish Acland, Neil Kerr and others!
So Much World - online alternative to traditional travel guides - professionally written travel articles and user review site.
So Much World Reviews - allows users to rate and submit reviews of countries, cities, and other places. Features advanced AJAX rating system.
Travel Bookmarking - an online travel "scrapbook" and bookmarking social network - people create bookmarks of content they think is useful to travelers, and the best "float" to the top. Individual users also have the ability to create their own personalised travel guides from online resources, including their own notes. Includes automated website screenshots (as does this page).
