Egressive
Opportunities
Current Status: Egressive is experiencing significant growth in its Drupal development business and is keen to talk to Drupal developers, particularly those based in Christchurch - here's a bit more insight. We are also on the lookout for excellent open source (Linux primarily, with some MS Windows experience a plus) support/system administration people at the moment.
Egressive is always looking for sound technical people (they have to be social, too) with an ethical leaning towards free and open source software. If you believe that you have what it takes - see our ethos, then feel free to send us a CV, or contact us to set up an informal chat.
We prefer to meet people we want to work with and then, based on their capabilities and specialities, find them work to do so that they can sustain themselves when they join the team.
The ideal CV should be either PDF - or even better: an email introduction with a link to your CV online. Because software development and system administration are all about attention to detail (combined with an appreciation for the big picture), we do take note of your grammar and spelling and your proofreading prowess. We do, of course, take into account the fact that English might not be your first language... Just keep in mind that everyone who works for Egressive represents us in both business and the community. As a result, we think carefully about how any prospective employee might reflect upon us in those contexts.
Please note: we don't use Microsoft Word here, so sending your CV in DOC format is a good way to show us you haven't done your research. CVs delivered in DOC format usually receive a terse response with something about proprietary file formats and little further consideration. We're cruel but fair.
