Biography:

Born in Manhattan, went to primary school in Wellington, New Zealand. Spent five years in Brisbane, Australia, before returning to Wellington to complete secondary school. After graduating from university in Wellington, worked for the NZ Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for a few years. In 1991, on the way to the UK for work and travel, had seven months in India and Nepal, mostly cycle touring and trekking in the Himalayas. After five years in Scotland, where I got married, returned to New Zealand in late 1995. Both of our children were born here. Joined Egressive in 2006.
